Russia Condemns Paris's Attempts to Drive a Wedge in Moscow-Yerevan-Baku Relations
Moscow's attempts to drive a wedge in the relations between Yerevan and Baku are doomed to failure and will result in a devaluation of France's reputation in the region. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“Emmanuel Macron's statement that Russia allegedly uses the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to destabilize the situation in the South Caucasus is considered an outrageous and absolutely unacceptable claim. Such outbursts fall within the anti-Russian line of the West and are aimed at demonizing Russia, indicating an attempt to transfer the confrontation logic from Ukraine to other parts of the post-Soviet space, including the South Caucasus. The absurd thoughts of the French president indicate that Paris is not interested in establishing stable peace in the region and calls into question its capability to play a constructive role in this matter,” the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
