Poland Urges Its Citizens to Leave Belarus

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland has advised its citizens to leave Belarus. This has been reported by Russian media.

It is noted that Polish citizens are also advised against visiting Belarus: "Due to the growing tensions in the region, military events, and multiple cases of detentions of Polish citizens, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Polish citizens refrain from any travel to the Republic of Belarus."

"Polish citizens currently in the territory of the Republic of Belarus are advised to leave through commercial and lawful means," the statement from the ministry reads. The country's Foreign Ministry also warns that in the event of a sharp deterioration of the security situation, border closures, or other unpredictable scenarios, evacuation may become significantly difficult or even impossible.
