Azerbaijani Armed Forces Must Withdraw from Armenia's Sovereign Territory: Papikyan-Dumont Meeting

On October 10, Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan met with Isabelle Dumont, an advisor to the French President. Also present at the meeting was Anne Louyot, the French Ambassador to Armenia, as reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

Minister Papikyan expressed gratitude to the French government for its strong condemnation of Azerbaijan's large-scale aggression against Armenia's sovereign territory, as well as for providing precise and targeted assessments and supporting efforts to establish peace in the region.

The Minister detailed the situation created by Azerbaijani aggression. Ms. Dumont reaffirmed the French side's stance that the Azerbaijani armed forces must withdraw from Armenia's sovereign territory, and that existing issues should be resolved exclusively through peaceful means.

During the meeting, discussions also covered the Armenian-French cooperation in the defense sector, particularly issues related to the implementation of agreements reached during the Armenian Minister of Defense's visit to France on September 27.
