VIDEO: 250 People Involved in Fire Extinguishing Work After Explosion on the Crimean Bridge
Media outlets have released footage of rescuers extinguishing the fire that broke out after an explosion on the Crimean Bridge.
The fire in a fuel-laden railway train on the Crimean Bridge has been extinguished, and at present, there is no open blaze, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported to RIA Novosti.
“The fire in the railway train carrying fuel on the Crimean Bridge has been extinguished, and currently, there is no open blaze. Approximately 250 people and 70 pieces of equipment are involved in the firefighting efforts,” the source stated.
Recall that today the National Anti-Terrorism Committee reported that a truck exploded on the Crimean Bridge early in the morning, leading to a fire in seven fuel tanks of the train. There has been partial collapse of two roadway openings of the bridge.
The arch of the land section of the bridge has not been damaged. According to preliminary information from regional authorities, there are no casualties or injuries reported as a result of the incident.
