EU to Create Fund for Ukraine to Purchase Weapons Directly from Europe, Macron

The European Union will establish a €100 million fund that will allow Ukraine to purchase weapons directly from Europe. This was announced today by French President Emmanuel Macron following an informal summit of EU leaders in Prague, reports Izvestia.

The head of state noted that this fund will enable Ukraine to buy equipment from European industry as needed to conduct military operations.

Macron also stated that France is prepared to continue supplying Ukraine with "defensive weapons" and is discussing with Denmark the issue of transferring new Caesar self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine.
