Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson as Administrative Units of Russia
The text of the updated Constitution of the Russian Federation has been published, incorporating new regions into Russia. The information was released today on the legal information portal, reports Izvestia.
"The Donetsk People's Republic... the Luhansk People's Republic... the Zaporizhzhia Region... the Kherson Region are included as subjects of the Russian Federation," states the document.
On the eve, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the publication of the updated constitutional text with necessary amendments regarding the new regions. Changes were made to Article 65, which includes the list of subjects of the Russian Federation.
