I Don’t Know How My Statement Will Be Interpreted Today, Pashinyan Expects Support from the People

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in parliament that he will implement his declared "peace agenda" and expects support from the parliamentary majority and the people.

"I confirm that we are adopting a peace agenda and I affirm the responsibility for implementing the peace agenda as stated in my last interview. I expect the support of the parliamentary majority and the people to bring this agenda to life. I don’t know how my statement today will be interpreted by others, or how many people will go out for an evening stroll afterwards, but I am saying that I have taken on this responsibility, I am going down this path, and I will continue on this path. But the news here is that as a result of recent negotiations and their substance, I see a way forward. This is the most important acknowledgement. I see a path to follow and I am preparing to walk that path. I am confident that we are ready to go down that path. I mean not only the parliamentary majority but also the people," Pashinyan declared.
