Alen Simonyan is Heading to Moscow: "Hraparak"

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, has received an official invitation from the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, Vyacheslav Volodin, to visit Russia for the "development of cooperation." The delegation headed by Simonyan will depart for Moscow on October 9.

According to some information, the purpose of the invitation is related to the recent developments in Armenia, the increasing anti-Russian wave, and the announcements about leaving the CSTO. When asked whether Russia is trying to prepare a political successor in the face of Alen Simonyan, he replied that the visit had long been planned and is unrelated to recent events. He then took an oath of loyalty to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"There is one desirable candidate for the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, and he has been voted for; he currently occupies the position of Prime Minister, and at this moment, I cannot imagine myself in the political arena without my current leader," he stated. We clung to his last expression—what about the next moment? "In the next moment as well—it would be difficult," he said.
