Toyo Klaar on the Leaked Footage of Armenian Prisoners Being Executed
The EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Toyo Klaar, has stated on his Twitter account that another video has emerged showing the execution of Armenian prisoners of war.
"If this video is proven to be genuine, it constitutes a war crime that must be investigated and the perpetrators must be punished," Klaar emphasized.
It should be noted that on September 15, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, received Toyo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia. Mirzoyan presented to Klaar the situation created as a result of the pre-planned large-scale aggression of Azerbaijani armed forces against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, which began on September 13, and the steps taken by Armenia to halt the aggression.
As previously reported, on September 28 at 18:00, Azerbaijani armed forces began shelling Armenian positions with mortars and large-caliber artillery in the eastern direction of the border. The Armenian side responded with counteractions. Later, the Ministry of Defense reported that by 22:00, the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border had stabilized relatively. As a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, three Armenian servicemen were killed.
