Ukraine will submit its NATO membership application today in an accelerated manner. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video address.

“De facto we have already gone through our path to NATO. De facto we have already proven our compatibility with the North Atlantic Alliance's standards. Today, Ukraine is submitting a formal application to do this de jure. A process that will align with our value of protecting our entire community in an accelerated manner,” said Zelensky.

He also noted that Ukraine will not conduct any negotiations with Russia as long as Putin is president.
