Russia Ready to Negotiate with Ukraine, Says Peskov
Russia is prepared to negotiate with Ukraine; however, the situation and conditions are changing, while the principles of the special military operation's objectives remain intact. This was announced by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of Russia. The information is conveyed by RIA Novosti.
Recently, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to conduct negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin as well as Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
President Vladimir Putin has expressed that Russia, of course, maintains its willingness to negotiate. But as the situation changes, so do the conditions. We have repeatedly stated this. However, overall the principle remains the same, which is to achieve all the objectives of the special military operation. Yet, in this case, it was also mentioned in the negotiations (Putin and Erdogan) that the Ukrainian side has completely deviated from the negotiation line; therefore, the special military operation continues,” Peskov told reporters.
