Earthquake Felt in Yerevan and Shirak
On September 27, at 18:08 local time (14:08 GMT), a 5.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded by the seismic monitoring network of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations. The epicenter was located 19 km south of Ardahan, Turkey, at a depth of 10 km, with geographical coordinates of 40.93° north latitude and 42.74° east longitude.
The strength of the underground tremors in the epicentral zone was rated at 7 points. The earthquake was felt in the Shirak region with an intensity of 2-3 points and in the city of Yerevan with an intensity of 2 points.
