Eyewitnesses have reported sighting a Russian armored vehicle at the Upper Lars border crossing with Georgia. This information was shared on Telegram channels along with photos and videos.

Russian soldiers have arrived at the Upper Lars checkpoint in an armored vehicle, preparing to establish a blockage. Additionally, it has been reported that Russian men are already being denied permission to exit the country at the Upper Lars checkpoint.

The border service of North Ossetia informed RBC, stating, "The armored vehicle is moving there, but it is not moving to set up a checkpoint; this is, roughly speaking, a reserve only in case the reservists want to breach the checkpoint and leave the country without any border formalities. For this purpose only: no checkpoints will be installed... The checkpoint is operating in normal mode, and restrictions have not been imposed on the exit of male citizens of military age."
