Armenia Will Not Participate in CSTO Exercises in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan has announced that CSTO exercises will take place in the country from September 26 to October 8. In response to an inquiry from Infocom, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia stated that Armenia will not participate in the exercises. The response indicated, 'Considering the situation created at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border due to aggressive actions by Azerbaijan and based on the tasks set before the Armed Forces of Armenia, the Ministry of Defense has decided to refrain from sending the Armed Forces of Armenia to participate in the exercises organized under the CSTO framework in the Republic of Kazakhstan.'
