As of 17:00, Local Government Elections are Underway in 18 Communities of Armenia

Today, local self-government elections are being held under a proportional representation system in 17 communities across Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Shirak, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and Tavush provinces, while a majoritarian election is taking place in the community of Alagyaz in Aragatsotn province. In this community, elections for the community leader and council members are being conducted.

A total of 314 polling stations have been established for the local self-government elections.

As of 17:00, overall participation in the elections has reached 39.60% of eligible voters, which translates to 95,545 voters. The highest participation rates have been recorded in Kajaran with 70.18%, Akunk with 57.21%, and Tsaghkadzor with 52.65%.
