A fire that erupted in Yerevan at the site of a former plastic factory has been contained. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

As previously mentioned, at 08:30 today, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting that smoke was visible from a construction site on Arshakuniats Avenue in Yerevan. Three fire and rescue units from the Yerevan Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene.

The fire was contained by 10:23,” the rescue service's statement said.

Shortly after, media outlets spread information that a team of ambulance doctors provided first aid to about 10 citizens on site, as their condition had deteriorated due to smoke inhalation. The Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Auroranews that these reports do not correspond to reality.
