Video: 65-Kilometer Traffic Jam at the Lars Checkpoint, Large Number of Armenians Reported

Auroranews has received reports from our compatriots currently at the Lars checkpoint. A group of Armenians from the North Ossetia checkpoint have contacted us, stating that they have been unable to cross the border and return to Armenia for a whole day.

“There are about 400 vehicles with Armenian license plates stuck at the border. We have been stopped, and they are not providing any information. The food we had with us has already run out, and there are only a few small shops in the area, but they have sold out of their food supplies,” said one of the citizens who reached out to us.

When asked whether only vehicles with Armenian license plates were unable to proceed or if others were as well, he replied, “There are vehicles with license plates from other countries, but those with Armenian plates are in greater numbers. To give you a better picture, we are currently stuck in a 65-kilometer queue.”

According to information available to Auroranews, the border checkpoint is not closed; rather, the Russian side is conducting stringent checks due to the announcement of partial mobilization, prompting many to attempt to leave the territory of the Russian Federation.
