U.S. Embassy Clarifies Call Against Visiting Eastern and Southern Regions of Armenia
The U.S. Embassy in Armenia has issued a clarification regarding its call for citizens to avoid visiting the eastern and southern regions of Armenia.
Today, the embassy released a statement urging its citizens not to travel to these areas. In connection with this, the "Public Television of Armenia" submitted an inquiry to the embassy.
The clarification indicates that the new warning slightly eases previous restrictions. Such a warning was originally made following the escalation on September 13, and the embassy has now revised this announcement, replacing the call to avoid the entire Vayots Dzor region with a suggestion to refrain from traveling eastward from Yeghegnadzor.
