Enemy Fired Intensively for at Least Half an Hour Towards Positions Near Kut Village: Hakob Avetyan
The enemy fired intensively for at least half an hour yesterday towards the positions of the Armenian Armed Forces located near the village of Kut in Gegharkunik Province. This was reported to Factinfo by the former mayor of Geghamasar, Hakob Avetyan.
“Now the situation is calm, but at any moment we expect that they could resume fire. So, to call it calm is relative; this is not peace,” said Avetyan.
In Kut, as Avetyan noted, only men, mostly young people, are present. Residents are still hesitant to return home since the enemy has not retreated significantly; any development is possible.
It is worth recalling that the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported yesterday evening that Azerbaijani units opened fire at around 20:00 on September 21, using mortars and large-caliber firearms, targeting the Armenian positions located in the eastern part of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. As a result of the enemy's actions, one Armenian serviceman was injured. Later, the defense ministry reported that the injured soldier's life is not in danger.
