The West Does Not Realize What Service It Has Rendered to Russia by Imposing Sanctions, Says Putin

The West does not understand that by imposing sanctions, it has compelled Russia to develop its own intellectual products, and this is very good, said Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to RIA Novosti.

"They do not even realize what they have done; they have forced us, while relying on our mineral resources, to develop our own intellectual products, and of course, this is very good. One must not allow failures," Putin stated during a meeting with leaders of advanced engineering schools and their industry partners.
