The Immortals. The Ministry of Defense Press Secretary Speaks About the Heroism of Private Khachik Minasian and Sergeant Narek Hakobian

During the Azerbaijani military aggression, the personnel of one of the deployed units commenced combat operations immediately after the onset of hostilities and engaged in battle with numerically superior enemy special forces from the very first moments. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense Press Secretary on his Facebook page.

Under intense missile and artillery fire and ongoing gunfire from large-caliber firearms, the squad commander, Private Khachik Edward Minasian, and Sergeant Narek Mkrtich Hakobian took the enemy's fire upon themselves to secure the positioning of their fellow servicemen.

During the fierce firefight, Private Minasian was wounded. Sergeant Hakobian, who was in the same position, changed his location, redirecting the fire onto himself in an attempt to save the life of his injured comrade.

Sergeant Hakobian fought until his last bullet. However, after some time, communication with Private Minasian and Sergeant Hakobian was lost.

Thanks to the brilliant actions of the subdivision, they managed to repel the enemy, inflicting significant casualties. The selflessness of Private Khachik Minasian and Sergeant Narek Hakobian was undeniable in that combat success.
