NATO Plans to Increase Pressure on Russia Following Putin's Recent Statements
NATO countries are set to increase pressure on Russia following Russian President Vladimir Putin's announcement of partial mobilization, stated NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
"We must continue to support Ukraine, impose sanctions on Russia, and mobilize the entire international community, including the UN..." Stoltenberg remarked during a speech at the Reuters Next online forum.
He promised continued support for Ukraine despite Moscow's recent decisions. According to him, although the Russian leader's speech escalated the situation, it was not unexpected for the West. The NATO chief also assured that NATO would do everything possible to prevent a large-scale conflict with Russia.
