Kyiv Representatives Responded Very Positively to Our Proposals: Putin

Since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, Kyiv has responded positively to the proposals of the Russian Federation. However, Ukraine was directly instructed to sabotage the agreements. This was stated today by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, in a message addressed to the citizens of Russia.

“Already after the start of the special military operation, including in the negotiations held in Istanbul, the representatives of Kyiv responded very positively to our proposals,” he said, recalling that they primarily concerned Russia's security and its interests. However, after some compromises were reached, according to the Russian president, Kyiv was effectively given direct orders to sabotage all agreements, and Ukraine began to be supplied with more weapons.

At the same time, according to Putin, Western countries are forcing Kyiv to move military operations into Russian territory, stating that Russia must inevitably be turned into a battlefield.

The Russian leader stated in his message that if the territorial integrity of their country is threatened, they will use all means at their disposal, including nuclear weapons, to defend Russia and its people. The President of the Russian Federation declared that his words are not a “bluff,” while simultaneously warning the West that threats involving nuclear weapons could backfire on them.

It should be noted that on the early morning of February 24, President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to launch a special military operation against Ukraine upon the request for assistance from the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) and Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Combat operations in Ukraine have now been ongoing for the 209th day.
