Georgia Refuses to Impose Visa Regime for Russians

The leader of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, has announced that the country does not plan to implement a visa regime for Russians. He made this statement while commenting on reports of partial mobilization in the Russian Federation. According to the politician, all claims about the danger posed by tourists from Russia are politically motivated and lack any basis, as reported by Life.ru.

“There have been two campaigns claiming that Russian tourists allegedly pose a serious threat, and both times it has been proven that these claims are completely unfounded, fake, artificial, and serve political purposes. The situation is entirely manageable,” said Kobakhidze, adding that the government is taking care of state security.

Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on partial mobilization. As a result, reservists registered in military enlistment offices, as well as citizens with combat experience, will be called up to the special military operation zone in Ukraine. According to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, the plan is to mobilize 300,000 individuals.
