A $250 Million Lawsuit Filed Against Trump and Family Members
The Attorney General of New York, Letitia James, has filed a $250 million lawsuit against former U.S. President Donald Trump, his children, and companies associated with them for fraud and providing false information. This was reported by РИА Новости.
It was noted that the lawsuit concerns activities that have "significantly increased Trump’s personal wealth." According to the Attorney General, the defendants, including the former president, violated several state criminal laws, including falsifying documents, providing inaccurate financial statements, engaging in insurance fraud, obtaining lower interest rates, and paying fewer taxes.
She also stated that she is requesting the court to prohibit Trump and his children from participating in or managing companies or corporations in New York, as well as to bar Trump and the related Trump Organization from acquiring real estate in New York for five years.
