Don't Believe Those Thugs: Ian Gillan Stands in Support of Armenia

The legendary rock singer of Deep Purple, Ian Gillan, addressed the recent attacks by Azerbaijan on Armenia today on his official website. The rock vocalist voiced his support for Armenia.

“Please read this wonderful message from Brian May about the constant attacks that Armenia faces from its neighbors and don’t believe what they say to justify their actions,” the singer stated on his official site.

Earlier, Queen guitarist Brian May also stood in support of Armenia, which has been victimized by Azerbaijani aggression. “It seems yet another tragedy is unfolding, and there is a danger that, as often happens, the media will not present the whole truth. Armenia is a small country devoid of oil, gas, and other significant wealth, a bastion of Christianity and democracy surrounded by brutal dictatorships. It is one of the most peaceful countries in the world, yet it has a tragic history, with 1.2 million Armenians killed during the Ottoman Empire's brutal ethnic cleansing during World War I, which Turkey still denies,” Brian May remarked. “Today, there are those who want to erase Armenia from the face of the earth. Just a few days ago, Azerbaijan bombarded peaceful Armenian villages in an attempt to terrorize the Armenian people. Armenia is virtually defenseless against the vile coalition of three ruthless dictatorships and requires full support from the West to survive,” he added.
