Video: Major Fire in Yerevan
On September 19, at 00:39, the Crisis Management National Center received a call about a fire that broke out on the roof of one of the houses in the second lane of Sevan Street in Yerevan.
Three firefighting teams and a duty group from the Fire and Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. A fire complexity level of "1 BIS" was declared, and another firefighting team from the Fire and Rescue Service was sent to the location.
The fire complexity level was raised to a "Number 2" alarm, prompting the dispatch of two additional firefighting teams, one water supply unit, and a duty group from the Medical Support Department.
The fire was contained by 02:03 and extinguished by 03:10. The roof of one of the houses on the second lane of Sevan Street (approximately 130 sq. m), a neighboring house (40 sq. m), and an adjacent shed (approximately 15 sq. m) were burned. Rescuers prevented the fire from spreading to nearby residential buildings.
