Illegal Entry into Military Base and Insults: What is Known

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia's main military investigative department has received a report stating that on September 16, 2022, around 23:55, a resident of the Ararat region unlawfully entered the territory of the RA Ministry of Defense's military base N. Subsequently, near the checkpoint, he directed insults towards the staff of this military base and the army.

This information has been reported by the RA Investigative Committee. A criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of Article 468 and part 1 of Article 297 of the RA Criminal Code. The resident of the Ararat region has been arrested.

Within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings, necessary measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances related to the illegal entry into the military base and the act of hooliganism. An investigation is ongoing.
