Enemy Shells Strike Nearby Rock, Shatter and Scatter Debris Close to Ljavan Homes
During the night of September 12 to 13, 2022, as a result of aggression from Azerbaijan, enemy shells exploded in the southern part of the village of Ljavan in the Gegharkunik region, with debris scattering very close to homes.
According to Norik Gevorgyan, the principal of Ljavan Secondary School, fortunately, the shell fragments did not cause harm to people or property.
“The enemy shells struck a nearby rock, exploded, and the debris spread very close to the homes in Ljavan. The fragments are numerous and leave a daunting impression on the residents. I find it difficult to say exactly what type of weapon was used that allowed these shells to reach the borders of our village from dozens of kilometers away, but military experts can determine the weapon type through inspection. Our fellow villager Martik Hovhannisyan has collected many shell fragments and is keeping them in his house as tangible evidence of the shelling of Ljavan and Makenis villages,” Gevorgyan stated.
