We Want to Support Armenia as Much as Possible: Frank Pallone

“We do not speak about the CSTO, we understand that Armenia is part of that organization with Russia. However, what we are saying is that we are concerned about Armenia’s security issues and want to support Armenia as much as possible in this regard,” stated Frank Pallone, co-chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus, during a joint press conference with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan.

“The democratic world highly values Armenia's democracy. And, as Mr. Pallone mentioned, we have nothing to say about Armenia's interactions with other entities. However, Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are important issues for us, and we want to have effective support in this direction. Of course, it is Armenia that makes the decisions; we can only talk about our readiness. As Jackie Speier noted, a condemning resolution has been introduced, authored by Adam Schiff, who is also the author of the resolution condemning the Armenian Genocide,” responded Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, to a question regarding Armenia's membership in the CSTO.
