We Stand by the Armenian People in Difficult Times: Nancy Pelosi

I am in Armenia to say that the United States is committed to supporting the democracy of Armenia, and we stand by the Armenian people in difficult times. This statement was made by the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, during a speech at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.

She reminded that her visit to Armenia was previously planned, but it turned out that they arrived in Armenia at a time when they could personally condemn Azerbaijan's unacceptable and threatening actions that jeopardize the success of the peace process.

"The United States, as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group and a friend of Armenia, is committed to supporting a stable and peaceful negotiation process. The U.S. has long stated that a military solution cannot resolve this conflict," emphasized Pelosi, pointing out that the United States is closely monitoring this issue.

"For President Biden and Congress, this is a priority direction," added Pelosi.
