We Join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Peskov
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, announced that the issue of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries is not to oppose anyone or strive to counterbalance the "Big Seven," according to the TASS news agency.
According to him, the SCO was not created with the purpose of being friends against someone else.
"It's about being friends for the sake of some higher ideals and for the benefit of the peoples of the countries that are part of the organization," Peskov explained.
The next SCO summit took place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on September 16-17.
