We Are Here to Understand What Expectations There Are from Us: Pelosi

The Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan and the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi discussed cooperation on economic and security issues. During a press conference at the National Assembly, Pelosi responded to a question about what kind of support Armenia can expect from the U.S., particularly regarding military assistance.

Pelosi emphasized the importance of their visit, stating they are here to listen and understand what can be done and what is expected from them. “We spoke about economic and security issues during our meeting. The question of Armenia's joining the ‘Millennium Challenge Challenges’ programs was raised, along with our cooperation on defense issues. We are here to listen and understand what expectations and desires there are,” she said.
