The U.S. is Now a Source of Provocative Actions, Dmitry Peskov Says

The official representative of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, has expressed the opinion that the United States is now a source of provocative actions. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

He clarified that a similar assessment of U.S. actions is also being made in China. The press secretary of the Russian president noted that Russia and China do not wish to "lead" the world. According to Peskov, other countries have such inclinations.

“There is an absolute resemblance to various types of provocative actions, the source of which is the United States of America; such destabilizing behavior is unacceptable,” said the Kremlin representative.

On September 15, Peskov stated that there is "no hope" regarding the appointment of a new U.S. ambassador to Russia. Prior to this, CNN reported, citing diplomatic sources, that Washington had already presented a candidate for the position of head of the American diplomatic mission in Moscow. This refers to the current head of the U.S. diplomatic mission in Armenia, Lyn Tracy. If this occurs, it will be the first time in history that the U.S. embassy in Russia is led by a woman.
