Pope Francis on Armenian-Azerbaijani Border

Pope Francis has called for the preservation of the ceasefire agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, according to TASS news agency.

“Reports of recent clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia have caused me great sorrow. I express my spiritual closeness to the families of the victims and urge the parties to respect the ceasefire regime. Peace is possible when they put aside their weapons and engage in dialogue,” stated Pope Francis.
