Pelosi Reveals Horrific Truth Presented to Us at the Museum
The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, emphasized the necessity of recognizing the Armenian Genocide during her visit to Armenia. This statement was made during her speech at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.
She highlighted her and the congress members' visit to Tsitsernakaberd in honor of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, stating, "It was very moving. We learned the horrific truth that was presented to us at the museum." Pelosi added, "To heal open wounds, the world must recognize the atrocity that can only be described as genocide. Our efforts toward acknowledging genocide must continue so that such atrocities never happen again. We can never forget it."
She reminded that Congressman Adam Schiff introduced a resolution in 2019 that not only condemned the Armenian Genocide but also opposed efforts to erase history. "We rejected all actions that could relate the U.S. government's stance on the denial of genocide," Pelosi noted.
