Levon Ter-Petrosyan Hosts Catholicos Garegin II at His Private Residence

Arman Musinyan, the spokesperson for the Armenian National Congress, has published a joint statement from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Office of the First President of Armenia, which we present below.

Today, on September 18, First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan met with His Holiness Garegin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, at his private residence. During the conversation, pressing issues related to Armenia's external security and the extremely tense internal political situation were addressed, along with possible solutions for overcoming these challenges.

It is noteworthy that this marks the second meeting this year between the Catholicos and the First President of Armenia. The first meeting took place on February 23 of this year at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
