Alisa Melkonyan, Killed in Azerbaijani Aggression, Was Sister of Gagik Melkonyan Who Died in April War

On September 13, Alisa Melkonyan, aged 42, was killed as a result of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan. She was the sister of Gagik Melkonyan, who had fallen during the April war.

Alisa was a contracted service member, serving in one of the military units in Gegharkunik. Relatives informed NEWS.am that Alisa was from the village of Zolakar in Gegharkunik and had begun her military service in 2016, following her brother's death. She has another brother who has a disability.

It is noteworthy that Gagik Melkonyan was killed during the four-day war in Talish. Private Gagik Melkonyan had taken enemy fire upon himself to save his fellow soldiers, standing alone against the adversary.
