Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. The Prime Minister reported that Azerbaijan has commenced provocative and aggressive military actions against the sovereign territory of Armenia from midnight, along different directions of the border.

Nikol Pashinyan expressed deep concern over the situation and emphasized the importance of an adequate response from the international community.

President Macron deemed the further escalation of tensions unacceptable and stressed the necessity of de-escalating the situation.
