Pashinyan Talks with Iranian President

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a phone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi. The Prime Minister provided details regarding the provocative and aggressive actions carried out by the armed forces of Azerbaijan towards Armenia's sovereign territory.

Ebrahim Raisi emphasized that a new war in the South Caucasus region is unacceptable, and Iran is closely monitoring the developments. The Iranian President stressed that all conflicts in the region must be resolved peacefully, and Iran's stance on the territorial integrity of states is clear.

He recalled the words of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, stating that Iran's connection with Armenia should not be jeopardized, and communication routes must be under the sovereignty of states. Ebrahim Raisi highlighted that his country is ready to assist in establishing peace in the region, adding that the issue of Armenia's security is important for Iran.
