Pashinyan Discusses the Issue of Granting Azerbaijan a Corridor through Armenian Territory
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, assures that no one is going to be provided with a corridor through Armenian territory. He made this statement during his speech in the National Assembly.
“Azerbaijan, by misinterpreting the November 9, 2020 statement, talks about having a corridor through Armenian territory. We are not going to provide anyone with a corridor through our territory. We accept, and are even interested in, the opening of roads through Armenian territory and unblocking them,” said Pashinyan.
He reminded that the Russian co-chair of the trilateral working group, Alexey Overchuk, publicly stated that the newly opened roads must operate under the sovereignty of the countries through which they pass.
It is worth recalling that the Armenian defense sector had issued a statement, reporting that on September 13, at 00:05, Azerbaijani Armed Forces subdivisions began intensive fire towards Armenian positions in the directions of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk using artillery and large-caliber firearms. The enemy is also using UAVs. There are casualties and injuries. As of now, the situation at the border remains tense.
