Intensive Gunfire Continues in Nerkin Hand
Currently, women and children are being evacuated from the village of Nerkin Hand in the Syunik region. This was stated in a conversation with News.am by the administrative head Khachatur Baghdasaryan.
“Starting from midnight, the enemy opened fire. Only from 7:00 to 8:30 in the morning was there a pause, but even now the intense gunfire continues,” noted Baghdasaryan.
It is recalled that from September 13, starting at 00:05, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have been intensively firing towards Armenian positions in the directions of Vardenis, Sotk, Artanish, Ishkhanasar, Goris, and Kapan, using artillery and large-caliber firearms. The enemy is also employing drones. The intense exchange of fire that began as a result of a large-scale provocation by the Azerbaijani side continues. The Armed Forces of Armenia are giving an adequate response.
The Ministry of Defense reports that the Armenian side has casualties and injuries, with details being clarified. As of 08:00, there have been no changes in the situation at the border; the enemy continues to use artillery, mortars, drones, and large-caliber weapons, targeting both military and civilian infrastructures. In certain areas of the border, positional battles are also continuing, and the enemy does not cease its attempts to advance.
