Ceasefire Lasted About an Hour and a Half Before Shelling Resumed: David Shahbazyan

The ceasefire lasted about an hour and a half before shelling resumed towards Sotk, Kuti, and Norabak. These communities were again targeted with artillery. This was stated by David Shahbazyan, the head of the "United Vardenis" faction in the Vardenis council, in an interview with NEWS.am.

“An hour ago, the ceasefire was violated, if it can be called a ceasefire at all. There are residents who have taken shelter, but mainly they have been evacuated. One house on the edge of Kuti village was damaged, fortunately, no one was home at the time. There are no damaged houses in Norabak, and it is difficult to assess the situation in Sotk because targeted shelling is currently taking place, and during that hour and a half of a semi-ceasefire, it was naturally impossible to assess the extent of the damage. Most damages have occurred in Sotk,” said the Vardenis council member.

It is noteworthy that since September 13, starting at 00:05, Azerbaijani armed forces have begun intensive fire towards Armenian positions in the directions of Vardenis, Sotk, Artanish, Ishkhanasar, Goris, and Kapan using artillery and large-caliber firearms. The adversary has also employed drones.
