Ukraine Will Not Negotiate with Russia: Will Fight Until the End, Says Vladimir Zelensky

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has stated that he is currently not ready to negotiate with Russia. "Today, no. I do not see a desire on their part to be constructive," he responded during an interview with CNN, aired on Sunday. "This is my principle; I do not talk to those who present ultimatums," added Zelensky.

The president also gave a positive answer to the question of whether he would "fight until the end." "I know that some countries are pushing us towards the Minsk process; I want the world to understand that one thing is a diplomatic solution, while another is Minsk-2, -3, -5, -10. These are two different things. Because that Minsk is just a piece of paper," Zelensky said, referring to the Minsk agreements aimed at resolving the conflict in Donbas, which Kyiv has not fulfilled.

He added that an agreement between the two countries could be reached only after Russia withdraws from Ukrainian territories, without clarifying what he meant.

On Sunday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov declared that Russia does not refuse to negotiate with Ukraine, but further delays from Kyiv will complicate the possibility of reaching an agreement with Moscow.
