Kharkiv is Without Power: What is Happening in the City
Kharkiv is currently experiencing a complete power and water supply outage. This information was confirmed by the city's mayor, Ihor Terekhov, on his Telegram channel.
“Critical infrastructure facilities have been taken offline, resulting in a power outage and suspension of water supply in Kharkiv,” Terekhov wrote.
Earlier, municipal authorities reported that both electricity and water supply had been disconnected, and the metro system is not operational. There are also disruptions in internet service.
On September 11, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a complete breakdown of the energy system in the Kharkiv region, as well as a partial failure in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy regions. Media have also reported supply issues in the Poltava region.
In the early hours of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a decision to conduct a special military operation against Ukraine, following requests for assistance from the LPR and DPR.
The combat operations in Ukraine have now entered their 200th day.
