Biden Aware of Ukraine's Counteroffensive

U.S. President Joe Biden has stated that he is aware of the Ukrainian forces' counteroffensive, but declined to comment further, citing the evolving situation.

“Yes, I know, but I’m not going to talk about that right now, because the situation is developing,” he responded to a journalist's question about whether he was aware of what is happening in Ukraine.

The head of the liberated territories in the Kharkiv region, Vitaly Ganchev, reported that authorities have begun evacuating residents from Kupiansk, Izium, Shevchenkove, and Balakliya.

On Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that troops from Balakliya and Izium had regrouped toward Donetsk to achieve the declared objectives of the special military operation for the liberation of Donbas.
