Lavrov Calls on Americans Not to Remind About Visas for Russian Delegation
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has urged his colleagues not to remind the United States that American visas are required for the Russian delegation to participate in the UN General Assembly, stating that the Americans have their obligations.
“I told my colleagues that there is no need to remind them anymore, the Americans have their obligations, the UN Secretary-General is obliged to ensure the participation of all delegations in UN events, including of course the General Assembly,” Lavrov said in an interview with Russia 1’s “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” program, responding to a question about whether he and the Russian delegation have been granted visas by the US for participation in the UN General Assembly.
