Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense Orders Readiness to 'Immediately and Decisively Prevent Any Provocation'

The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan held a service consultation with the command staff of the army, during which he discussed the tasks set before the Azerbaijani army by President Ilham Aliyev, according to Azerbaijani media reports.

Zakir Hasanov ordered to be 'ready to immediately and decisively prevent any provocation,' emphasizing the likelihood of tension that may arise due to 'intensive shelling by the Armed Forces of Armenia' in the directions of Karvachar and Berdzor.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reports that the operational situation at the border and in the area of deployment of the Russian peacekeeping contingent was also thoroughly analyzed during the meeting.
