Poland Will Not Force Its Residents to Save Gas
Poland is not planning to force its citizens and businesses to reduce gas consumption, spokesperson for the government Piotr Müller stated during a press conference on Friday.
"Gas consumption in Poland has already decreased compared to last year. Natural mechanisms are in play regarding both enterprises and households," Müller said.
"In this regard, we do not foresee any regulations if we are talking about, so to speak, coercive measures," he added.
At the same time, he mentioned that the Polish government is working on developing mechanisms to promote gas savings.
"If we are talking about incentive mechanisms, rather than prohibitive ones, then we are working on those," the spokesperson said.
