Attack on 70-Year-Old Store Employee, 250,000 Dram Stolen: Police

On September 8 at 10:45 PM, a citizen called the police to report that a man had attacked an employee in a store in the village of Arinj and stolen money from the store's cash register. This information has been provided by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

Upon arriving at the scene, the operational group of the Kotayk Police Department discovered that between 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM, a certain Garegin had assaulted a 70-year-old female employee at a store on Mashtots Street in Arinj village, striking her in the eye and stealing 250,000 drams from her pocket.

The hospital has also reported that the ambulance brigade provided medical assistance to the 70-year-old woman, who was diagnosed with soft tissue contusion and hematoma of the right eye.

As a result of operational and investigative measures taken by the Kotayk police, the identity of the perpetrator was established. On September 9 at 12:20 AM, a 29-year-old resident of Arinj village was found on Acharian Street in Yerevan, arrested, and presented to the preliminary investigation body.
